B u i l d i n g T e a mOur building team is responsible for the design and construction of the robots, as well as the organization of our work space. Every season, we work with the mentors and with each other to create the best robot possible. For this year's game, we have tried out new systems for our robot design; this is the first year we are using a pneumatic system and mechanum wheels on the robot. We also designed a wooden case for the robot with a painting of a spaceship on the outside.

P r o g r a m m i n g T e a mOur programming team uses Java and Command Based programming methods to code the robot. During the off-season, the team is divided into two groups: one is to test new systems (including pneumatics and mecanum drive) and the other one is to train new members. When the competition season is on, the programming team communicates with the building team to figure out the components of the robot. Each member is then assigned to write a subsystem, such as a grabber to carry the hatch panels. The lead programmer checks the final code at the end.

B U S I N E S S T E A MWhen our business team is dealing with outside correspondence and is trying to obtain sponsorships or information, they always seek to maintain a respectful attitude towards the person on the other side of the communications device. Also, when trying to decide the best location of a hotel or what food to get they always cherish the opportunity to seek the input of their fellow teammates. Also, as we wish to spread the ideals of gracious professionalism, the business team provides a wonderful tool to do this through fundraisers which get the whole school involved.

P I T O r g a n i z a t i o n t e a mOur Pit Organization Team, or Pit Crew, consists of a group of members who are chosen because of their well-rounded knowledge about the team and ability to demonstrate our robot, organize tools, as well as come up with a plan to design the pit so it is most effective during competitions. they observe the working area during building season and choose what the most useful items to pack when we travel. Before the competition, they set up the pit and ensure that everything is in its right place. During the competition, they keep track of the number of people inside the pit and people's shifts to help repair the robot when needed, record battery statuses, clean the pit, and communicate with other teams. Having a strong pit crew allows everything to move smoothly before, during, and after the competition; there will not be any missing tools, low-energy battery, too many people in the pit, or a messy work area.
